Takedown Policy

Last Updated: May 6, 2026

LocalLoco respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users and vendors to do the same. This Takedown Policy explains how to report content that you believe infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, and how we handle such reports.

1. What You Can Report

You may submit a takedown notice if you believe content on the Platform:

  • Infringes your copyright (e.g. unauthorised use of your photos, text, or creative work)
  • Uses your registered trademark without authorisation
  • Misrepresents your business or brand identity
  • Contains content you own that has been posted without your permission

2. How to Submit a Notice

To submit a takedown notice, email us at takedown@localloco.sg with the subject line: "IP Takedown Notice".

Your notice must include:

  • Your contact information: Full name, email address, and if applicable, the name of the organisation you represent
  • Description of the work: A clear description of the copyrighted or trademarked work you believe has been infringed
  • Location of the infringing content: The specific URL(s) or description of where the infringing content appears on the Platform
  • Proof of ownership: Evidence that you own or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the intellectual property in question
  • A statement of good faith: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the content is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent, or the law
  • Accuracy declaration: A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights owner or authorised to act on their behalf

3. Response Timeline

Once we receive a valid takedown notice, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
  • Review the notice and assess whether it meets the requirements above
  • Take action — if the notice is valid, we will remove or disable access to the reported content within 5 business days
  • Notify the content poster that their content has been removed and the reason why

Incomplete or unclear notices may delay our response. We may contact you for additional information before taking action.

4. Counter-Notice

If your content has been removed and you believe the takedown was made in error, you may submit a counter-notice to takedown@localloco.sg with the subject line: "Counter-Notice".

Your counter-notice must include:

  • Your contact information
  • Identification of the content that was removed and its original location
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed in error
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10 business days unless the original complainant initiates legal proceedings.

5. Repeat Infringers

LocalLoco has a policy of terminating the accounts of users or vendors who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to make this determination at our sole discretion.

6. Abuse of This Process

Submitting a false or misleading takedown notice is a serious matter. If we determine that a notice was submitted in bad faith or with the intent to harass or harm another user, we reserve the right to take action against the person who submitted it, including account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.

7. Contact

All takedown notices and counter-notices should be sent to takedown@localloco.sg. For general legal enquiries, contact legal@localloco.sg.
