This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the LocalLoco platform ("Platform"). It applies to all users, including consumers, shop owners, and ambassadors. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. General Conduct
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not:
- Infringe the rights of any other person or entity
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Harm, threaten, abuse, harass, or intimidate any person
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
2. Prohibited Actions
2.1 Fraud and Manipulation
- Spoofing GPS or device location to falsely trigger check-ins or proximity rewards
- Submitting fake, altered, or reused receipts to claim verified purchase rewards
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits, earn duplicate rewards, or evade bans
- Exploiting bugs or unintended behaviour in the trust scoring or rewards system
- Coordinating with others to artificially inflate visit counts or trust scores
2.2 Spam and Abuse
- Sending unsolicited messages, promotions, or spam to other users
- Posting repetitive, irrelevant, or low-quality content
- Using the Platform to distribute advertising or promotional material without our consent
2.3 Scraping and Automated Access
- Using bots, crawlers, scrapers, or automated tools to access or extract data from the Platform
- Attempting to access the Platform through means other than the official interface
- Overloading or disrupting Platform infrastructure through excessive automated requests
2.4 Harmful Content
- Uploading or sharing content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory
- Posting content that promotes violence, illegal activity, or self-harm
- Sharing content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmitting malware, viruses, or any other malicious code
2.5 Security Violations
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Platform without authorisation
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Platform
- Sharing your account credentials with others
3. Vendor-Specific Rules
If you are a shop owner or ambassador listing deals on the Platform, you additionally agree not to:
- Post deals that are misleading, inaccurate, or cannot be honoured
- List products or services that are illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited
- Use the Platform to collect user data beyond what is necessary for deal fulfilment
- Engage in bait-and-switch tactics or false advertising
4. Consequences of Violations
We take violations of this policy seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, we may take the following actions:
- Issue a warning to your account
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently ban your account and associated devices
- Forfeit any accumulated Loco points, rewards, or tier status
- Remove any content or listings you have posted
- Report the activity to relevant authorities where required by law
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any misuse of the Platform, please report it to us at abuse@localloco.sg. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
